Job Description

The opportunity

The Corporate Account Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the after-sales transactions of our Distribution Channels, specifically Corporate Solutions (Broker and Agency), Manulife China Bank, and Partnership and Distribution (PD). The main responsibility is to achieve an 85% policy and premium persistency, ensure timely billings (initial, adjustment, modal, renewal, extension), maintain accurate member data in the database, validate member eligibility for claims verification, provide account details for review, process premium refunds, and conduct member underwriting for accounts surpassing the NEL/NML upon renewal. Close collaboration with Distributors and Business Partners is essential to meet our service level commitments to clients.


  • Prepare renewal offers for existing accounts to maintain an 85% policy and premium persistency level.
  • Reconcile member master list during renewals based on submitted vs. recorded data, making necessary billing adjustments. Perform member underwriting within Group Admin limits for accounts exceeding the NEL/NML.
  • Provide renewal details for account review, including member list, movements, premium, and claims for the policy year.
  • Verify member eligibility for claims, ensuring updated premium payments and approved coverage.
  • Generate billing statements (Initial, Adjustment, Modal, Renewal, Extension) for Group Policy Holder at the individual member level.
  • Provide prompt feedback to Distribution Partners or clients regarding member data and coverage discrepancies.
  • Prepare Policy Contracts, Certificate of Cover, and Individual Certificate of Insurance for new and renewed accounts.
  • Conduct KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money-Laundering) compliance for new business and affiliates.
  • Set up policies/benefit schedules based on client proposals during new business and renewal.
  • Create policy endorsements for non-standard contract provisions and take-over accounts.
  • Accompany Account Managers and Business Development Specialists during client meetings and account reviews.
  • Process experience refunds as necessary and provide timely resolution to client and agent inquiries.

What we are looking for
  • College graduate of any 4-year course
  • 2-3 years of Group Accounts Management experience required
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Preferably completed Basic LOMA course
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Team player with a Continuous Improvement Orientation
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
