JOB SUMMARY:


The Manager of Business Process Controls and Quality reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for establishing strategic initiatives to drive a top-notch control environment for global DBS operations located in Cebu Philippines, Suzhou China, Bucharest Romania, Bangalore, India, and the US.

The Manager must possess strong project management skills and the ability to influence a large multinational organization to adopt industry best practices.

This role involves maintaining close relationships with DBS teams, local operating companies, US Corporate Controllership, and audit and assurance providers such as PwC, Internal Audit, and the Internal Control Center of Excellence (IC COE) team.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and refinement of internal controls and policies across DBS processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Devise and execute strategies for a team of specialists to improve operational efficiencies, manage risks, enhance service quality, and seamlessly integrate controls with business operations.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and process reviews, address vulnerabilities, and implement corrective measures to reduce audit findings.
  • Create training materials to educate DBS employees on compliance, internal controls, and risk management, fostering a culture of accountability and continual enhancement.
  • Suggest innovative solutions to boost productivity and cut costs.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with external auditors and Compliance leaders across Dover to ensure compliance and proactive adaptation to new regulations.
  • Promote the use of technology solutions like ERP systems and automation tools to streamline operations and improve business process controls.
  • Monitor and report on business process control performance, providing regular updates to DBS Leadership on key risks, compliance issues, and improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during local audits of DBS locations, ensuring compliance with Dover's Core Internal Controls (CIC).
  • Work closely with local DBS IT resources and financial system owners to ensure effective IT general controls are in place and operational.
  • Support change management for new DBS financial system implementations or changes.
Ensure proper system implementation and access controls operate smoothly throughout the process, including IT general controls post-go-live.

  • Monitor the controls environment, liaise with DBS process owners to ensure timely and consistent controls as per local CIC requirements.
  • Manage and address control deficiencies promptly.
  • Conduct reviews on Segregation of duties, SOC 1, and Transition projects at all DBS operation levels quarterly and annually.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO framework, and leading business practices
-12+ years of Finance experience, with at least 4+ years in Audit at US listed companies, either within a Big 4 Audit Firm or a multinational organization.

  • Prior experience in Risk & Compliance or Internal Control role, finance background preferred
  • Experience with financial systems and assessing/implementing related IT controls
  • Energetic, self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong project management and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Adaptability to evolving environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, including offshore resources (e.g., Suzhou, China)
