The Software Development Centre is responsible for the development of software and application products to harness technology to improve the performance of our clients value chain. The team is made up of subject matter experts that work to the country manager to develop products that assist in the delivery of the client mandate. Working together but often independently, each developer will be expected to work, onsite and remotely, with the wider team and clients on complex engagements.

The Role
The Software Development Centre (SDC) country manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for leading a team of developers to produce scalable software solutions to meet our clients mandate. As the country manager you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance, expertise and leadership to the team of developers as well as helping to build products to be used across various industries. You will be responsible for building the right team, managing the day to day operations, providing leadership and building products that will be used by clients and consultants. Working with the COO, Head of Technology Services and Head of Consulting the country manager will liaise with the five capability leads and business development team to capture user requirements and develop software solutions.

The primary duties of the country manager are:

• Software and application development:o Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
• Maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment.
• Managing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications.
• Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues Overseeing and guiding the analysing, writing, building, and deployment of software.
• Overseeing the automated testing and providing feedback to management during the development process.
• Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs.
• Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all SDC operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to support the growth and success of the SDC.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
• Brand and Reputation: Build and maintain the company's brand and reputation in the Philippines through effective engagement with local communities.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports to the UK headquarters on subsidiary performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.

Secondary duties of the country manager are:

• Commit to continuous development by supporting the organisation of team events, training sessions and recruitment activities.
• Carry out other duties as specified by the COO.

SKILLS

• Proven experience as a full stack developer or similar role.
• Experience developing cloud based, desktop and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with common stacks.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of successfully establishing and managing operations
• Strong understanding of the Philippine market, business practices, and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organisational skills
• An analytical mind

Nice to have

• Development of data science platforms.
• Design and implementation of Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Software project management experience.
• Knowledge of the UK market.

Work Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 10am to 7pm PH time PH Time

• Hybrid at Cebu office: The Company Cebu, G/F Building 4, P. Remedios St, Banilad, Mandaue City, Cebu.
