About the role: We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Payroll Administrator. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the weekly PAYE payroll & pensions process. Your attention to detail, ability to maintain positive working relationships, and knack for handling complex data sets will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll and pensions functions.

Our team: PQS (Pearson Qualification Services)The Qualifications Processing directorate consists of several areas, which work together to deliver General and Vocational Qualification operations throughout the year. This operation supports the delivery of accurate results to every candidate in each examination session.

As a Payroll Administrator (Returns) you will be responsible for:

  • Support with the weekly PAYE payroll & pensions process for c.30k workers (c.£70 million annually) ensuring all timescales and deadlines are met
  • Support team advisors with delegated processes documentation updates
  • Maintain communication channels and positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Interact with offshore Associate Helpdesk team via phone, email and CRM ticketing system (Salesforce CRM) offering advice on best practice, ongoing knowledge sharing and updates on issues and trends which may impact query volumes

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience managing and manipulating large datasets with a high level of accuracy
  • Awareness of regulations and legislations around payroll and pensions, including DWP & HMRC
  • Intermediate MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
