This is an opportunity to lead the Finance Function for Mace in Asia Pacific, one of the most diverse, exciting and fast-growing regions of Mace.

The Regional Finance Business Partner provides the region with effective financial services to ensure that key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered. As a trusted advisor, driving the delivery of comprehensive financial support to the Regional Hub Lead and Senior Leadership Team, focusing on financial advice and control, planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Key internal stakeholders this role engages with will be the Regional Hub Lead, Regional Leadership Team / Country Leads, Engine CFO, Group finance teams, tax and other group and commercial services teams.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with the Regional Hub Lead and Senior Leadership team.
  • Providing finance and business support to the Regional Senior Leadership Team, improving the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
  • Supporting the business planning process, providing financial analysis and modelling, defining planning assumptions, risks and opportunities, working with the Regional Senior Leadership team to drive the budgeting process.
  • Supporting strategy development by providing financial performance insights and recommendations to the Regional Hub Lead and Senior Leadership Team, identifying opportunities and risks through scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Partnering with the Regional Senior Leadership Team to drive actions to meet targets (bids, margins, variable costs, overheads, EBITDA, working capital etc).
  • Supporting decision making with financial data and insights that link financial reports to business strategies, highlighting emerging issues or trends, and making recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Providing accurate and timely financial information including production of monthly business performance pack with financial analysis, insights and explanation of performance, contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall Group Finance function.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of effective and efficient financial practices and procedures, including the implementation of robust financial tracking and monitoring, ensuring understanding across the region and taking action to address non-compliance.
  • Leading, managing and developing the Regional Finance Team, coaching and developing team skills and capabilities, and building a high performing inclusive team.


You'll also have:
  • 10+ years financial/accounting experience
  • Professional accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
  • Degree or equivalent standard of education
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering a Finance Business Partner role
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills building trusted advisor relationships.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and think strategically as well as applying technical expertise.
  • Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders and non-financial managers.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal with good presentation skills and an ability to translate financial data into clearly delivered insights and messages
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong time management and deadline-orientated, adapts and reacts well to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and comfortable proposing, initiating and implementing change
