Responsibilities of ADPG Server Infrastructure roles:

Design and Architecture: Designing, architecting, and implementing storage and server systems to meet the organization's requirements and business objectives. This includes selecting appropriate hardware, software, and networking components.

Deployment and Provisioning: Deploying and provisioning storage and server systems, including setting up new hardware, installing operating systems, configuring networking, and deploying necessary software and applications.

Configuration Management: Managing configurations of storage and server systems to ensure consistency, security, and compliance with organizational standards. Utilizing configuration management tools and methodologies to automate and streamline configuration tasks.

Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitoring the performance of storage and server systems, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning strategies to optimize system performance and resource utilization.

Security: Implementing security best practices to protect storage and server systems from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats. This includes configuring firewalls, implementing access controls, applying security patches, and conducting security audits.

Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity in the event of system failures, data loss, or disasters. This involves scheduling backups, testing recovery procedures, and implementing replication and failover mechanisms.

Capacity Planning: Planning and forecasting storage and server capacity requirements based on usage trends, growth projections, and business needs. This includes analyzing resource utilization, forecasting future demand, and planning for scalability and expansion.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining documentation for storage and server configurations, procedures, and best practices. Generating reports on system performance, capacity utilization, security compliance, and other key metrics to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Responding to incidents and troubleshooting issues related to storage and server systems. This includes diagnosing problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to resolve issues and minimize downtime.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, application developers, and cybersecurity professionals, to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. Communicating effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and coordinate tasks.
