Event Management (Marketing & Communications)

The Marketing Events Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of the Marketing Events team, while offering steadfast leadership and guidance. Equipped with comprehensive expertise of the technical, logistical and operational aspects of events production, the Senior Manager's primary goal is to orchestrate top-tier corporate events that align with NWR's business goals and brand identity, and ultimately ensure the team's overall success. This role also requires the ability to instigate positive change and invigorate team dynamics, as well as enhance current team practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Events Conceptualization, Execution and Management

  • Lead the planning, idea generation and implementation of approved property wide events based on the requirements of the different business units / departments.
  • Guarantee the timely completion of all event requirements and processes, manage timelines, event collaterals, entertainment, sponsorship & purchasing requirements, and logistics to ensure all aspects align with the goals of the company.
  • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring that expenses are kept within budgetary constraints while maximizing the event's impact and value.
  • Ensure the seamless execution of events through meticulous supervision and a strategic and hands-on approach towards handling the different aspects of events production.
  • Consider broader market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging industry developments in event planning.

Events Production and Design

  • Understand technical aspects related to event production (audio-visual equipment, lighting, etc.) and have the ability to troubleshoot technical issues during events.
  • Has keen attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the event are well-coordinated and executed.
  • Can proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with event production and develop crisis response plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Can provide creative direction to enhance the overall visual and experiential aspects of events and work closely with designers and creatives to bring innovative ideas to life.

Inventory, Storage and Assets

  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking and conduct regular audits to maintain accountability for event-related assets and supplies, making sure that it is always up to date with the latest information.
  • Implement security measures to protect inventory and assets from theft, damage, or loss.
  • Make assessments of whether certain assets are candidates for disposal or safekeeping in order to allow the team to maximize the available space.
  • Anticipate which certain supplies, items, equipment etc. would be needed by the team for future events / occasions, and make purchase orders in advance. This could help in cutting down lead times, and minimize spending.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Business, Event Management or other similar courses
  • At least 10 years proven work experience in a position responsible for events, promotions and/or special marketing, including experience in managing and leading a team
  • Experience in the Gaming, Hospitality, Events Production industry is an advantage
  • Knowledge in areas such as corporate events, nonprofit events, conferences, trade shows, or experiential marketing is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in marketing event operations, with a track record of successful event planning and execution
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong technical understanding of audio-visual equipment, staging, lighting, and production logistics
