Our client is a leading aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility providing comprehensive aviation services in the Asia-Pacific region.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our client's team as the Vice President of Information Technology (VP IT). This role will be instrumental in leading the client's IT strategy and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving innovation across their organization. The VP IT will oversee all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, systems development, cybersecurity, and digital transformation efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity.
  • Proven track record of driving successful IT initiatives and delivering business value.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, cybersecurity principles, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Experience in industries such as aviation, maintenance services, manufacturing, or supply chain is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-thinking approach to technology and business challenges.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and mentorship.

General Responsibility
Provides strategic I.T. vision and direction that best serve the interests of the company and exercises management, leadership and good governance of the IT department.

Specifics

  • Leads the strategic IT planning process and is responsible for executing the strategies, objectives and other projects that will benefit the company in terms of cost-effective and/or productivity enhancing initiatives.
  • Interacts regularly with the President/CEO, other Vice Presidents and managers in order to understand their specific business strategies and operational requirements and deliver the corresponding quality services, systems, applications and tools.
  • Provides overall management and leadership in the department so that leading edge and/orappropriate technologies and systems are delivered with high quality and successfully adopted by the company in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Keeps the department focused on the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the IT department and provides the drive and initiatives to execute the strategic, tactical and operational plans required to support and strengthen the IT requirements of the company.
  • Executes and directs the implementation of IT projects and information technology-oriented business initiatives that have high commercial impact for the company.
  • Designs, develops, implements, and enforce information technology operating policies and procedures, security measures, risk management and contingency plans in order to ensure the reliability, integrity, and efficiency of the IT systems and reasonably protect the IT investments of the company.
  • Builds and maintains excellent business and working relationships with other entities of the organization and other shareholders, with commercial vendors and contractors especially within the IT and Aviation industries and with other business partners.
  • Promotes a strong culture for excellence in IT, a strong conviction towards the value of work that engenders a high degree of professionalism and a strong drive towards quality customer service and high standards of performance.
  • Determines the optimal mix of skills and competencies and the financial and material resources required by the IT Department to service the needs of the various functional units of the company efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensures that safety & health risks are adequately assessed and controlled in the operations of his/her shop/section/division/department.
  • Ensures that safety incidents occurring in his/her area of responsibility are investigated and reported.
  • Ensures that safety & health rules / requirements are implemented in his/her area of responsibility
