Job Title: Salesforce API Developer

Minimum Experience Required: 4+ years

Job Description:As a Salesforce API Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs to enable seamless integration between Salesforce and other systems. Your expertise in Salesforce development, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and REST API will be essential in building scalable and efficient solutions to meet business requirements.Key Responsibilities:

  1. API Development: Design and develop robust, scalable APIs to facilitate data exchange and integration between Salesforce and external systems using RESTful principles.
  2. Salesforce Development: Build custom applications, components, and solutions on the Salesforce platform, leveraging Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to extend Salesforce functionality.
  3. Integration: Implement and maintain integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems, ensuring data consistency, security, and reliability throughout the integration lifecycle.
  4. Data Management: Develop data migration and synchronization processes to ensure seamless data flow between Salesforce and other systems, including data transformation and cleansing as needed.
  5. Governance and Best Practices: Adhere to Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines to ensure the stability, maintainability, and performance of developed solutions.
  6. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and other technical challenges related to API development and integration.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, business analysts, and QA engineers, to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful delivery of projects.
  8. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specifications, integration guides, and data mappings, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key Skills Required:

  1. Salesforce Development: Extensive experience with Salesforce development, including custom application development, data modeling, and configuration using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Platform.
  2. Lightning Web Components (LWC): Proficiency in building responsive and performant user interfaces using Lightning Web Components (LWC) framework, with a strong understanding of web standards, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  3. REST API: Deep understanding of RESTful principles and experience in designing, implementing, and consuming REST APIs, including authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), error handling, and versioning.
  4. Integration Tools: Familiarity with integration tools and technologies such as Salesforce Connect, MuleSoft, or Informatica Cloud, and experience in implementing real-time and batch integrations.
  5. Database Skills: Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Salesforce, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with SQL queries, data manipulation, and optimization techniques.
  6. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex requirements, identify technical solutions, and implement effective resolutions.
  7. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer, or Salesforce Certified System Architect are preferred.
