About the Role

NextWave are working with a leading international renewable energy developer to help grow their team in the Philippines. They are putting together the core members of their team and are looking for a Senior Development Manager to work on their renewable energy projects in the Philippines.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to oversee and drive all aspects of project development, from initial stages to financial closure, within the renewable energy sector

Leading project development activities such as securing land and grid connection rights, obtaining necessary permits and authorizations, and garnering stakeholder support.

Implementing efficient development processes, adhering to budgets and timelines, and designing and refining development methodologies.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders, including government authorities, project partners, landowners, and communities

Conducting site identification and selection research for new large-scale renewable energy projects, appointing and managing consultants for technical and environmental studies, and overseeing application processes for permits, licenses, and approvals

-Develop risk mitigation strategies and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills in addressing challenges that arise during the development phase.

Education

University Degree in a Business, Finance or Engineering discipline or a related subject.

Requirements

Experience in developing wind and solar PV farms, with proven ability to deliver project pipeline

Ability to create and maintain project development budgets and timelines in project management software

Sound understanding of permitting requirements and land considerations in the Philippines

8-15 years project development management experience

Up to date knowledge of market trends and the emerging renewable energy sector

An excellent network among government institutions and renewable energy companies

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Contract negotiation skills

Able to travel nationally as required
