Position Summary:

Oversees the billing operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to customers. Responsibilities include managing billing processes, resolving billing discrepancies, and coordinating with internal teams to streamline billing procedures. The Billing Manager plays a key role in optimizing revenue collection and maintaining strong customer relationships through efficient billing practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the billing operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing processes
  • Oversee the preparation of statements and bills
  • Manage a team of billing specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure departmental goals are met
  • Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Monitor billing metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance and customer service, to resolve billing issues and discrepancies
  • Conduct regular audits of billing processes to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Prepare and present reports on billing performance to senior management
  • Maintain and/or ensure maintenance of client records related to invoicing and bill payment
  • Review work of billing staff to ensure accuracy, resolving inconsistencies as needed
  • Create and provide a prioritized list of clients to be invoiced to team members
  • Locate, or assist in the location of, hard-to-reach clients
  • Draft and distribute weekly reports of invoicing and billing metrics
  • Advise staff on proper, legal parameters for collections practices
  • Provide customer support to customers with disputes or inquiries concerning invoices or billing process

Skills and Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in billing or accounts receivable management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Basic understanding of collection practices and laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Billing Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • 13th month salary
