ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Sr. Licensing & Credentialing Specialist to be part of our team.

  • He/Sheis responsible forgathering andmaintaininginformation needed for licensing, credentialing, and re-credentialing of allCompany'sproviders,distributing information to theappropriate sites/agencies, preparing summaries and reports asrequested, andmaintainingthe provider database and highly confidential personnel files.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to work independently in obtaining and supporting licensure/re-licensure,credentialing/re-credentialing, medical staff appointment/re-appointment, and privileging/re-privileging processes of allCompanypractitioners, including but not limited to physicians (MD andDO) and non-physician practitioners (CNP and PA), registered nurses, respiratory therapists, socialworkers, and pharmacists.Reprioritizes work as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of and independently ensures compliance with applicable policiesand procedures, The Joint Commission standards, Centers forMedicareand Medicaid Services (CMS)standards, and applicable federal and state laws; and applies them to the licensure/re-licensure,credentialing/re-credentialing, medical staff appointment/re-appointment, and privileging/re-privilegingprocess.
  • Maintains a comprehensive electronic and hard copy filing system.Collects and distributesappropriate informationregardingeachCompany'sclinical nurse and medical practitioner (withpractitioners'assistance, asappropriate)inan accurateandtimelymanner without deficiency and ina cost-effective manner.Ensures the accuracy and integrity of electronic tools used for tracking andfollow upregardingthe licensure/re-licensure, credentialing/re-credentialing, medical staffappointment/re-appointment, and privileging/re-privileging processes.GeneratesCompanypractitioner specific reporting including, but not limited to state licensure and hospital affiliation.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with practitioners, practitioner affiliated clinic managers, Company customers, state licensure representatives, various Medical Support Services offices, Credentialing and Verification Service, other departments, and other applicable resources. Ensures good communication with all entities to maintain accurate information and alerts upper management of potential issues affecting stakeholder relationships.
  • Provides status information to appropriate stakeholders of nursing or medical licensure/re-licensure, credentialing/re-credentialing, medical staff appointment/re-appointment, and privileging/re-privileging processes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Performs generalized secretarial duties inan accurateandtimelymanner to include, but not limitedto transposes handwritten or verbal communication to a typed format, edits all typing for typos andcorrects as necessary, makes copies of products asrequested, collates, assembles, and distributesinformation as directed. Processes mail, faxes, and other types of communications.
  • Maintains competencies in using software programs including but not limited tolicensing/credentialing software, as well as current internet browsers and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Organizes and executes special projects and other duties as assigned by Company Licensing & Credentialing Manager.
Requirements
  • Associate'sdegree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
  • 6 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willing to work atTower 1, Rockwell Business Center, Ortigas
