The Sales Manager will manage to achieve target through detailed account and territory planning that includes but is not limited to: targeting plan, managing current and future distributors, establishing account relationships with customers and potential customers, forecasting, product and all sales related activities.

This individual will have a proven track record of consistent on target performance in the healthcare industry, be passionate about sales and have a high level of business acumen. He/she will build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage of our products and gain greater market share by focusing on high value activity and selling.

Responsibility

Customer Management

  • Identify and resolve customer issues and concerns.
  • Develop relationship with existing and potential distributors.
  • Develop relationship with existing and potential customers.
  • Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
  • Definition and implementation of a strong growth orientated business strategy for the assigned territory
  • Identify core segments with highest profitability opportunity.
  • Market products as a clear differentiator from the competition
  • Ongoing analysis of market and competition and adjust strategies to win market share.
  • Provide creative and innovative solutions to support customers
  • Taking a wide organizational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products
  • Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns
  • Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally
  • Preparing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures
  • Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
  • Setting discount rates and determining price schedules
  • Advising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external partners
  • Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
  • Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
  • Defining and executing territory sales plans

Support and Training

  • Maintain a personal level of wider industry and business knowledge
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • Set-up training programs for sales staff when required.
  • Overseeing and directing performance of the sales team.

Deliverables and Key Performance Indicators

  • Ensures the effective fulfillment of objectives and deadlines assigned
  • Adherence to agreed KPIs, including but not limited to Call Rate and Business Planning
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Interact and communicate on a regular basis with all relevant headquarter functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, comply with all policies, practices and procedures.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

Experience requirements


• At least 7 years of experience in sales and business development, distributor management in FMCG/Healthcare Industry

• Experience working with Watsons, Mercury Drug and 7/11 etc.

• Preference for candidates with a pharmacy license and experience in sales or business development.

• Business Degree Graduate

• Good working level in English, fluency in oral and written English

• Logical/critical thinking & Problem-solving skills, used to work independently with a high level of time management skills.

• Ability to multitask & work under pressure.

• Successful previous experience as a sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets

• Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences

• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

• Strong business sense and industry expertise

• Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
