Global Private Banking Manila is a key department within Digital Business Services that supports HSBC Private Banking that seeks to be the leading international private bank for business owners and their families. Global Private Banking Manila supports different entities across the globe providing client services, payments services, trading operations and corporate actions,

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Corporate Actions Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To establish a robust operational, financial and risk management infrastructure which will enable the Global Private Banking business to implement and expand its scope of operations off-shoring effectively.
  • To manage and supervise the corporate action operations and services teams to ensure the operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • To lead the corporate action teams to ensure the highest quality service delivery with mitigation of risk and control whilst maintaining the cost effectiveness of the operations with appropriate resources planning.
  • Be responsible to manage more than one corporate action teams supporting different locations globally and ensure the business continuity.
  • Act as the key and focal contact for all onshore business or operations teams to drive for common approach and re-engineering processes for a successful "Centre of Excellence"

Qualifications:

  • Minimal of 4 to 8 years of experience in related managerial positions, preferably in managing teams in Securities Operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of the market and bank's products across all related asset classes
  • Solid experience in Corporate Actions or securities related operations
  • Sound knowledge of the Corporate Actions systemic workflows and applications
  • Familiar with the securities markets and banking practice
  • Capability to implement appropriate operational procedures and guidelines to ensure the internal control and risk mitigation
  • Experience in outsourcing project management would be a definite an advantage though not essential.
  • Good analytical ability and presentation skill
  • Good inter-personal relationship and communication skill
  • Strong people management to drive the team achievement and problem solving capability
