MAIN PURPOSE

OF THE JOB:

The PMO Director is responsible for leading the Project Management Office for Transformation projects, including overseeing the project portfolio, establishing project management standards, and ensuring successful project delivery. The PMO Director reports to the Transformation Leader and works closely with other senior leaders to ensure alignment with Transformation objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Oversee project portfolio management: Manage the Transformation project portfolio to ensure alignment with Transformation objectives, resource allocation, and prioritization of initiatives. Develop and maintain project management standards, processes, and templates to ensure consistent project delivery and quality.
  2. Ownership of Transformation team dashboard: Develop and maintain a dashboard to track Transformation project progress, including key performance indicators, generated values, risks, and issues.
  3. Lead steering committee meetings: Plan and facilitate steering committee meetings for all Transformation projects, getting support and providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
  4. Lead the project management team: Manage and mentor the project management team, provide guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  5. Stakeholder management: Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure Transformation project delivery meets expectations, communicate project status, and escalate issues as needed.
  6. Financial management: Develop and manage the PMO budget for Transformation projects, track actual spend against budget, and identify areas for cost savings.
  7. Risk management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate Transformation project risks and ensure successful project delivery.

8.Project governance: Work with other T&T groups (IT department) to ensure Transformation projects adhere to established project governance processes, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and project closure.

Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in managing a PMO and implementing project management methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Continuous Learning: commitment to staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices in transformation and process improvement.
