Shift: Night Shift, Mon – Fri; Either 8 AM – 5 PM or 9 AM – 6 PM (EST Canadian Time)

Balancing Act: Key Duties in the Accounting Realm
Accounts Payable:
Create and maintain vendors in QuickBooks.Process vendor invoices, expenses, and employee expense claims following the company’s delegation of authority and payment policy.Process weekly vendor payments.Maintain and monitor Accounts Payable subledger and follow up with vendors and stakeholders on discrepancies.Monitor daily company credit card activities and follow up on missing receipts, expense categorization, and approvals.Pay applicable government remittances (GST/HST, PST).Accounts Receivable:
Monitor daily integration between QuickBooks and Stripe and follow up on unreconciled items.Apply manual payments (cheque, cash, e-transfers) to customer accounts.Periodically monitor Accounts Receivable Aging Report and follow up on non-current open items.Follow up with Customer Service and Sales teams on short-paid invoices.Payroll:
Create new employees and update employee information in QuickBooks as needed.Update variable payroll items (sick days, vacation, commissions, incentives, expense claims) promptly.Process bi-weekly payrolls.Pay applicable government remittances (EI, CPP, WSIB).Other:
Monitor daily bank activities, categorize transactions, and follow up on missing backups.Prepare bank account reconciliations.Prepare various month-end journal entries, including accruals.Reconcile Balance Sheet GL accounts and follow up on unreconciled items.Analyze P&L GL accounts and escalate suspicious activities.Day-to-Day Activities:
Assist the Director of Accounting in daily operations of the accounting department.Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.Assist the Director of Accounting in enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Assist the Director of Accounting in managing CRA, payroll, taxes, and remittances.Collaborate with team members across departments to resolve open accounting items, enhance process efficiency, and enforce accounting policies.Credentials That Count: Building Blocks for Accounting Excellence
Task-oriented and detail-oriented individual with a solid background in accounting.At least 3 years of experience in day-to-day accounting functions.Bachelor’s degree in accounting.Preferred experience with IFRS and QuickBooks.Ability to communicate professionally with all levels within the organization, as well as with vendors and customers.Count on Rewards:
