The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all commissary production equipment operates efficiently and reliably to meet the requirements. This role supervises the maintenance team, implements the preventive maintenance program, and ensures compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards. The Engineering Supervisor also leads process improvements and provides technical support for production and R&D initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitors operations for adherence to the operating plans and identifies any areas out of compliance for review with the operations management.
  • Provides training to management for implementation of new procedures, processes, services, and technology to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Works with operations management team to develop action plans and obtain commitments to address all non-compliance exceptions.
  • Reviews and updates forecasts as required to maintain validity of forecast projections (i.e., ensure measures are still relevant and conform to accepted IE principles) and adherence to Business Plan goals and aligns this to the Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Determines technical training needs of technician to produce continuous development plans.
  • Analyze, plan and implement improvements of existing processes in conjunction with productivity.
  • Work with Research and Development to introduce new products into production.
  • Provide engineering leadership and guidance for non-routine problems requiring substantial judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering procedures, for production requirement and special events.
  • Designated as Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer.
  • Perform other assigned task as the need arises.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Engineering course (Mechanical /Electrical).
  • Experience at least 5 yrs in maintenance of food equipment on various categories (kitchen/bakery/pastries).
  • Knows how to operate and do troubleshooting of basic operations of food equipment.
