We are seeking a licensed Customs Broker to manage and facilitate the smooth clearance of import and export shipments in compliance with Philippine customs laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of customs processes, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with government agencies, clients, and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.

This role is critical in ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and seamless movement of goods through ports and customs points.

Key Responsibilities

Customs Clearance & Documentation

  • Prepare, process, and file import and export documentation in accordance with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) requirements and other relevant government agencies.
  • Verify and ensure accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipment documents.
  • Classify goods according to the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) and determine the correct tariff codes and applicable duties/taxes.
  • Handle pre-clearance and post-entry activities, including processing of exemptions, refunds, or appeals when necessary.

Coordination & Compliance

  • Liaise with clients, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities to facilitate prompt release of shipments.
  • Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations, permits, and trade requirements.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure timely submission of required reports to regulatory agencies.

Advisory & Support

  • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on customs regulations, valuation, and documentation requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariff codes, and trade policies.
  • Recommend process improvements to streamline clearance procedures and reduce costs.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Customs Broker in good standing with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration or a related field.
  • At least 2–5 years of experience in customs brokerage, import/export operations, or logistics.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine customs laws, import/export documentation, and electronic lodgment systems (e.g., e2m, VASP, InterCommerce, Cargo Data Exchange Center).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

  • Familiarity with PEZA, BOI, and DENR import/export requirements.
  • Experience handling various shipment types (FCL, LCL, air freight, bulk cargo).
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
