Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Bookkeeping for HK, Canada, and UK Entities (70%)

  2. Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end closings across multiple currencies.

  3. Prepare financial statements, conduct reviews, and reconcile balance sheets.

  4. Strengthen internal controls related to disbursements, reconciliations, and closings.

  5. Philippine Finance Oversight (20%)

  6. Supervise local accounting operations and coordinate with the CPA.

  7. Ensure full compliance with Philippine regulatory and tax requirements.
  8. Serve as the main escalation point for finance and tax issues.

  9. Lead vendor coordination and performance management in alignment with global finance goals.

  10. Ad Hoc and Administrative Support (10%)

  11. Provide finance-related administrative assistance.

  12. Support financial analysis for special projects.
  13. Assist with audit and regulatory documentation preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Must have a college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar course.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of work in general accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Software Knowledge: Can use accounting tools like QuickBooks or Xero and is good with Microsoft Excel.
  • Data Analysis: Can study financial data, spot patterns, and solve issues.
  • Communication: Speaks and writes well in English; can clearly explain things to coworkers and clients.
  • Detail-Oriented: Careful and accurate with numbers and records.
  • Organized: Can handle many tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Strong Skillset (Above Industry Standard):

  • International Accounting: Managed companies in two or more countries.
  • Complete Accounting Process: Experienced in bookkeeping and handling all steps of accounting.
  • Philippine Tax Expertise: Knows BIR audits, VAT refunds, and tax planning well.
  • Xero Software Skills: Can handle multi-currency, create reports, and connect with other platforms.
  • Team and Vendor Coordination: Good at working with remote teams and outside partners to get things done.
