Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights for decision-making. The role will involve gathering requirements, modeling data, creating dashboards and reports, and ensuring data accuracy and performance within the Power BI environment.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements.

· Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.

· Build and maintain data models (star schema, snowflake, tabular) to support reporting needs.

· Optimize data sets and queries for performance and scalability.

· Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms, etc.) into Power BI.

· Implement and manage row-level security (RLS) and data access permissions.

· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reports and dashboards.

· Automate report refreshes and maintain scheduled data loads.

· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to data models and reporting.

· Stay updated with the latest features of Power BI and recommend improvements.

· Provide end-user training and support to enable self-service analytics.

Experience and Skills

Core Tech Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

· Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, BI Analyst, or in a similar data visualization role.

· Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query (M), and DAX.

· Experience with SQL (query writing, stored procedures, data integration).

· Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

· Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business and technical teams.

Nice-to-Haves (Not Mandatory):

· Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, Looker).

· Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

· Knowledge of Python, R, or other data science tools.

· Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
