Your Role in the Big Picture

Be part of our client's team as a Data Engineer, where you will build ingestion pipelines, design data transformations, and prepare data for PowerBI reports. You will work within Snowflake on Azure, ensuring compliance with data architecture, coding standards, and governance policies while supporting migration and dashboard development for global operations.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Good SQL skills are essential
• At least 1 year and 6 months of hands-on experience with Snowflake in a professional capacity
• SnowPro Core certification is helpful but not a replacement for professional experience
• Familiarity with working in development teams, following design, development, and release processes, and lifecycle management
• Experience working with tools such as Git
• Minimum of three years general programming or data engineering experience in a professional team setting
• Strong written communication skills; familiarity with writing technical and/or user documentation is a big plus
• Some familiarity with networking, database replication, or similar (for data ingestion focus)
• Experience with Openflow, NiFi, Azure Data Factory, Glue, or similar tools
• Stakeholder engagement skills, mainly with other technical users and support personnel at vendors and partners to obtain required access credentials and network configuration settings

Your Daily Mission

• Perform data engineering tasks from building ingestion pipelines to designing data transformations to prepare data for PowerBI reports
• Work within Snowflake running on an Azure cloud environment
• Design and build within Kelsian's data architecture, coding conventions, and comply with all data governance policies and processes
• Work on Project Nightingale, establishing governance throughout Kelsian and providing data and analytics to employees through a new platform
• Focus on migration, moving source data connections, transforming data schemas, and building new user-focused dashboards within the new environment
