Job Summary:

Responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring value for money while maintaining quality standards. Coordinates with site teams, the main office, suppliers, and clients to support the successful financial and contractual delivery of construction projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for multiple projects.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
  • Monitor and control project costs from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with project sites to verify work progress and validate contractor claims.
  • Prepare and review contracts, variations/change orders, and payment certificates.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and terms.
  • Maintain updated cost databases and price lists for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Assist in project scheduling by aligning procurement timelines with site requirements.
  • Visit different project sites for measurement validation and progress verification.
  • Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget updates for management.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, estimation, and contract administration.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD; knowledge in specialized QS software is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working under minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel to various project sites when required.
