Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned accounting professional as Senior General Accountant to join the newly established services company in Manila. The ideal candidate will be responsible to 1. Set up accounting practices in accordance of group level requirements and local compliance framework  2. Deliver month-end reporting in a professional & timely manner 3. Ensure efficient communication with both local & group management in overseas.   4. Fulfill other responsibilities and tasks given by senior management to assist company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and deliver the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes in timely fashion.

Ensure compliance with both internal, external audits and effective to efficient communication to the local and offshore management.

Maintain Fixed Asset registers and schedule and other related calculations.

Validate all journal entries prepared by the junior general accountant.

Set up accounting practices and assist to progress in the implementation of accounting and finance procedures in conformity with local compliance requirements.

Prepare and maintain all reportorial assignments and intercompany transactions for both management and compliance piece.

Assist/prepare and validate calculations for all taxes pertaining to business operations.

Assist on all bank related transactions.

Participate and lead in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field , CPA or CMA or equivalent certification preferred.

5-7 years of experience in general accounting roles

Strong understanding of accounting principles

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Familiarity with Accounting Systems (SAP)
