Key Responsibilities1. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a strategic partner and advisor to plant leadership on HR-related matters.
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that encourages high performance and employee retention.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
2. Compliance & Policy Administration
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, FMLA, EEO, ADA).
- Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures consistently.
3. Training & Development
- Develop and implement training programs for leadership, safety, compliance, and job-specific skills.
- Promote cross-training and career development opportunities across departments.
- Support performance review processes and succession planning efforts.
4. Payroll & Benefits Support
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits providers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Act as point of contact for employee questions regarding pay, timekeeping, leave, and benefits.
5. Health & Safety Support
- Partner with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) teams to reinforce a safety-first culture.
- Support investigations of workplace incidents and participate in safety committees as needed.
6. HR Reporting & Metrics
- Maintain HR metrics (e.g., turnover, attendance, recruiting data) and provide reports to management.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
