Key Responsibilities1. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as a strategic partner and advisor to plant leadership on HR-related matters.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that encourages high performance and employee retention.
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead employee recognition and engagement initiatives.

2. Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, FMLA, EEO, ADA).
  • Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures consistently.

3. Training & Development

  • Develop and implement training programs for leadership, safety, compliance, and job-specific skills.
  • Promote cross-training and career development opportunities across departments.
  • Support performance review processes and succession planning efforts.

4. Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Coordinate with payroll and benefits providers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Act as point of contact for employee questions regarding pay, timekeeping, leave, and benefits.

5. Health & Safety Support

  • Partner with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) teams to reinforce a safety-first culture.
  • Support investigations of workplace incidents and participate in safety committees as needed.

6. HR Reporting & Metrics

  • Maintain HR metrics (e.g., turnover, attendance, recruiting data) and provide reports to management.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
