F&B General Manager

A Food & Beverage (F&B) General Manager oversees all aspects of a restaurant or bar, including operations, staff, finances, and customer experience, ensuring smooth functioning and profitability.
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations, including food preparation, service, and bar operations.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and hygiene protocols.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost control to maximize profitability.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise staff, including kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and other F&B personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Handle employee discipline and termination.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the F&B budget, forecasting revenue and expenses.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and cash handling procedures.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Create a positive and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
Marketing and Sales:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers.
- Create and maintain menus that reflect current culinary trends and meet guest preferences.
- Negotiate with clients for use of facilities for catering, parties, banquets, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role is required.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Possesses very good customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations for the restaurant industry
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
