ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our recruitment operations for the New Zealand market. This role will involve sourcing, engaging, and managing candidates, supporting client recruitment portfolios, and ensuring compliance with recruitment standards. You will also be actively involved in networking, building strong pipelines, and providing excellent candidate care to deliver successful placements.
This is a fast-paced, client-facing role where your initiative, relationship-building, and recruitment expertise will contribute directly to the success of our team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Recruitment team in developing and executing hiring strategies
- Source, screen, and manage candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and social media.
- Coordinate and schedule client and candidate interviews, and assist in the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pool to meet current and future hiring needs.
- Manage candidate care: conduct regular check-ins, follow-ups, and ensure a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
- Assist in preparing job postings, reviewing applications, conducting pre-screen interviews, and reference checks.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and ensure compliance with recruitment standards.
- Participate in career fairs, networking events, and community outreach to strengthen candidate pipelines.
- Support administrative tasks including documentation, offer preparation, and onboarding requirements.
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to meet recruitment goals and deliver high-quality results.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related fields.
- At least 1–3 years of recruitment experience; AU/NZ recruitment background preferred.
- Proven sourcing and relationship-building skills across multiple channels.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage both candidates and clients effectively.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with a sense of urgency.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with employment practices and basic labor compliance is an advantage.
- Proficient in database management, record keeping, and recruitment tools/CRMs.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Willingness to occasionally attend career fairs, networking events, or community outreach activities.
- Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous self-development.
