QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of BS Civil Engineering
  • With at least two (2) years of work experience as a Site Engineer, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
  • With excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Willing to be assigned at Acacia Rebar Staging (Acacia Estates – Acacia Ave. Taguig, Metro Manila)

BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Quality Management

  • Ensures rebars delivered are tested upon every delivery and conform to specifications prior to installation

  • Ensures compliance of installed rebars with the For-Construction Plan and specifications

  • Risk and Safety Management

  • Conducts toolbox meetings to promote safety awareness on risks and hazards associated with rebar erection and fabrication specific to the site

  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the supervised work area

  • Construction Management

  • Reviews plans and drawings; coordinates with the Design and Engineering Department through the Office Engineer for any conflicts to ensure proper implementation and avoid design issues

  • Prepares detailed schedules aligned with the general project schedule for delivery

  • For in-house rebar works: prepares and submits the rebar cutting list to the Design Engineer

  • For subcontracted rebar works: reviews and checks the accuracy and consistency of shop drawings submitted by subcontractors

  • Estimates commercial-length rebars to minimize scrap

  • Supervises rebar works to ensure fabrication complies with issued For Construction Drawings (FCD) and specifications

  • Resource Management

  • Monitors and manages subcontractor performance and productivity

  • Prepares purchase requisitions for rebars and monitors their delivery

  • Closely supervises subcontractor activities to ensure quality, safety, and minimal rework

  • Subcontracts Management

  • Coordinates with subcontractors regarding execution of work and any deviations from the contract or plan

  • Prepares Variation Order advice for approved works not covered by the initial award

  • Project Financials and Cost Management

  • Evaluates and ensures accuracy of subcontractor billings

  • Monitors materials inventory, wastage, and scraps to maintain them within acceptable limits

  • Reviews variation order requests from subcontractors against the contract and actual installation before endorsement and approval by the Project-in-Charge
