Position Overview

We're seeking a versatile full-stack developer to join as our third development hire, working directly alongside our CTO and Lead Full-Stack Developer. This is a full-time contractor position where you'll be both pushing code daily and contributing to strategic product decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Ship Features Daily: Write, test, and deploy production code across our full stack as we sprint through our aggressive product roadmap
• Build AI-Enhanced Experiences: Develop micro-features that leverage AI to transform user workflows in the home services space
• Own Quality Assurance: Design and implement automated testing systems to ensure reliability of new features
• Champion User Experience: Apply UX principles to create intuitive interfaces for our B2B customers, ensuring every feature delivers genuine value
• Collaborate on Strategy: Participate in product planning sessions and technical architecture discussions
• Establish Best Practices: Help define and document our development standards as we scale the team
• Bridge Frontend and Backend: Work seamlessly across the entire stack to deliver complete solutions

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in C# (.NET/ASP.NET Core preferred) OR JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks (React, , etc.)
• Proven experience with QA/testing: Unit testing, integration testing, test automation frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, Jest, Cypress)
• UX/UI development skills: Demonstrated ability to build user-centric interfaces with attention to design principles
• Database expertise: SQL and/or NoSQL databases, schema design, query optimization
• API development: RESTful services, microservices architecture
• Version control: Git workflows in collaborative environments
• Cloud platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Problem-solving mindset: Ability to architect solutions independently and debug complex issues

Nice to Have

• Experience building B2B SaaS applications
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration (APIs, prompt engineering, embeddings)
• Background in the home services, real estate, or related industries
• DevOps experience (CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker)
• Experience with microservices communication patterns
• Prior work in high-growth startup environments
• Contributions to open-source projects

Work Details

• Hours: East Coast business hours (9 AM - 5 PM ET or similar)
• Location: Remote
• Team Structure: You'll be the third developer, reporting to the CTO and collaborating closely with our Lead Full-Stack Developer
• Growth Stage: We're in a high-growth phase with plans to continue expanding the development team
