Digital Marketing & Operations Specialist

Position Overview

The Digital Marketing & Operations Specialist is responsible for the technical execution, maintenance, and optimization of digital marketing initiatives across multiple client accounts. You will manage campaigns, automate workflows, maintain CMS environments, and handle advanced tracking, data, and development tasks.

You must be comfortable working in structured, data-driven workflows — balancing analytical rigor, technical accuracy, and creative execution.

Core Responsibilities

Advertising & Performance Analytics

●      Manage and optimize Google Ads, Performance Max, and Meta Ads campaigns.

●      Implement conversion tracking, GTM containers, enhanced conversions, and event triggers.

●      Build and maintain custom Looker Studio dashboards and performance reports.

●      Conduct budget pacing, keyword optimization, and data QA across campaigns.

●      Integrate ad performance data with GA4 and CRM systems.

SEO & Technical Optimization

●      Execute advanced on-page SEO: internal linking architecture, structured data (JSON-LD), and entity optimization.

●      Audit and resolve indexing, Core Web Vitals, and schema validation issues.

●      Manage Rank Math / Yoast configurations, sitemaps, and canonical structures.

●      Perform technical SEO audits using Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog.

●      Implement automation for SEO reporting and content validation through Google Sheets + Apps Script or API connectors.

Web Development & CMS Operations

●      Perform front-end updates, component optimization, and code QA in WordPress (Elementor / Oxygen / Gutenberg) and Shopify 2.0 (Liquid templates).

●      Maintain CMS consistency, structured content hierarchies, and schema-ready service templates.

●      Manage web tracking scripts, cookies, and consent compliance (GTM / Consent Mode v2).

●      Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, and JavaScript conflicts affecting performance or analytics.

●      Coordinate deployments from staging to production environments.

Full-Stack Development Experience

●      Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), , and API integration for marketing and automation workflows.

●      Backend understanding of PHP (WordPress customization), JSON, and RESTful APIs for data exchange.

●      Experience connecting third-party services via Zapier, Make, or custom HTTP webhooks.

●      Ability to build lightweight automation and data-handling scripts using Google Apps Script, Python, or

●      Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.

●      Knowledge of web performance optimization: caching, minification, lazy loading, and CDN configuration.

●      Ability to troubleshoot integration issues between CMS, CRM, and analytics systems.

Automation & Integration

●      Build automated marketing workflows via Zapier, Make, or Google Apps Script.

●      Implement AI and API integrations for content publishing, schema generation, and analytics enrichment.

●      Support CRM integration (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce) with marketing and form submission data.

●      Ensure accurate data flow between website, ads, analytics, and automation tools.

Project Coordination & Documentation

●      Maintain detailed process documentation, SOPs, and change logs.

●      Prepare structured proposals, analytics summaries, and technical reports.

●      Liaise with internal developers, designers, and content writers to synchronize deliverables.

●      Ensure deliverables align with timelines, QA standards, and measurable KPIs.

Requirements
Required Skills & Experience

● years in digital marketing or technical marketing operations.

●      Proven hands-on expertise in:

○      Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Looker Studio

○      WordPress (Elementor or Oxygen) and Shopify Liquid

○      Rank Math / Yoast, schema markup (JSON-LD), and rich-snippet optimization

○      Automation tools (Zapier, Make, Google Apps Script)

○      Front-end coding: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+ fundamentals, DOM manipulation, debugging)

○      Back end development: PHP, Node, REST APIs

○      Data tools: Google Sheets (complex formulas, array functions, pivot tables), Excel

○      SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, PageSpeed Insights

●      Strong understanding of conversion tracking, UTM frameworks, and multi-touch attribution.

●      Experience integrating APIs for marketing or reporting purposes.

●      Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

●      Strong attention to detail — able to manage multiple complex projects accurately and independently.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills

●      Experience with AppScript or Python for data automation.

●      Working knowledge of Salesforce or Zoho One ecosystems.

●      Familiarity with AI content generation pipelines (OpenAI API, GPT workflows).

●      Understanding of server-side tagging and advanced consent configurations.

●      Knowledge of web performance optimization (lazy loading, caching, minification, CDN).
