Job Summary

The Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing the financial records of Gladex Travel and Tours, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. This role will involve handling accounts receivable and payable, reconciling transactions, monitoring budgets, and providing accurate financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
  • Handle accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely billing and collections.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and payroll.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Monitor company expenses and travel-related costs, ensuring alignment with budgets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filing of statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies when necessary.
  • Provide financial support and advice to management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Officer, Accountant, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
