We are seeking a highly driven and entrepreneurial 
Venture Lead
 to establish and grow a specialized 
Risk Boutique
 in the Philippines. The firm will focus on providing cutting-edge services in 
validation of risk models
 for financial institutions, alongside a portfolio of consulting and analytical offerings.

As Venture Lead, you will be responsible for building the business from the ground up — defining strategy, leading client engagements, hiring and developing a local team, and ensuring delivery excellence. This is a unique opportunity for a leader with deep expertise in risk, data, and financial services to shape a new venture with regional and global relevance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Venture Building & Leadership
  • Define vision, strategy, and operating model for the boutique.
  • Drive business development, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships with banks, insurers, and other financial institutions.
  • Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team (risk analysts, data scientists, process consultants).
  • Service Delivery & Client Engagement
  • Lead validation of risk models (credit risk, market risk, operational risk, stress testing, etc.).
  • Oversee data analysis, back-testing, and model performance evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel standards, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas guidelines).
  • Provide recommendations and reports to senior stakeholders in client organizations.
  • Service Portfolio Development
  • Process analysis and risk governance review.
  • Data quality and integrity assessments.
  • Independent model validation and benchmarking.
  • Model risk management framework design.
  • Regulatory and audit support.
  • Advisory on emerging areas (AI/ML model validation, ESG risk models, fintech risk).
  • Operational Excellence
  • Establish processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Monitor financial performance of the venture and ensure sustainable growth.
  • Represent the firm in professional forums, conferences, and industry associations.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in 
    risk management, model validation, or quantitative finance
     (8–10+ years).
  • Prior leadership experience in consulting, financial institutions, or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of 
    regulatory frameworks
     (Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, ICAAP, etc.).
  • Hands-on expertise in 
    data analysis, statistics, and modern modeling techniques
     (R, Python, SAS, SQL, etc.).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to 
    build a business from zero
    .
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
  • Experience in the 
    Philippine or Southeast Asian financial market
     is a plus.
