The Patient Billing Center Coordinator is a key member of the administrative team, supporting the Revenue Cycle Department and handling calls and tasks that are critical to the daily operations

Responsibilities:

· In addition to the above, the Billing Coordinator is expected to:

· Assist patients and administrative staff by verifying benefits, claim status, and rebilling as needed, handling refunds, and updating our payment system and daily billing sheets with patient-specific rates.

· Managing calls with patients, insurance companies, and our third-party billing company as needed or directed by the PBC management.

· Correct problem accounts, edit balances, and A/R functions via our cedar billing platform.

· Meet with Revenue Cycle leadership weekly to discuss and resolve reimbursement concerns, issues, or billing obstacles.

· Managing responses to all Billing queries

· Attend daily morning meetings with the team to review outstanding issues and get aligned for the day and all staff meetings.

· Conceptualize workflows to identify issues and to make processes more efficient as the company grows.

· Identify issues regarding payment flow and escalate.

Qualifications:

· Strong written and verbal communication required.

· Minimum of 2 years of billing experience working within the US Healthcare system, with strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and modifiers.

· Strong customer service and analytical skills required.

· Must be detail-oriented and self-directed.
