JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of any 4-year college or relevant vocational course.
  • Holder of a valid Certificate of Safety and Health (COSH) and First Aid Training Certificate.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a construction or similar work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, etc.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Implement and enforce the Site EHS Program in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct EHS orientations for newly hired employees and lead regular toolbox meetings.
  • Perform daily and scheduled inspections to identify safety violations, unsafe conditions, and defective tools/equipment.
  • Ensure immediate corrective actions are taken to address safety concerns.
  • Maintain and update all EHS records, including accident reports, inspection checklists, and MSDS files.
  • Issue regular safety reports highlighting safety performance, trends, and accident statistics.
  • Attend and actively participate in EHS Committee meetings.
  • Secure, renew, and manage necessary work permits required for site operations.
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards and conduct audits of site activities and facilities.
  • Provide barricades and appropriate safety signage in all required areas of the site.
  • Monitor housekeeping practices and ensure cleanliness and orderliness of work areas.
  • Require and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
  • Report and investigate incidents and unsafe acts; assist in documenting and resolving root causes.
  • Inspect fire-fighting equipment, power tools, and other construction-related equipment on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation as required by the Safety Officer's Manual.
  • Support a proactive safety culture and ensure all personnel are informed of and comply with EHS protocols.
