Job Summary

The Senior Accountant I is responsible for the more complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and reports. This is the most senior skill level, without supervisory responsibility. Job may provide functional advice or training to less experienced accountant jobs.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely and accurate posting of inventories and expenses.
  • Handles inventory module in ACCPAC and System 7.

a. Costing of Importations (Total Landed Cost)

b. Checking of Goods Receipts, Supplier's Invoice and Purchase Order (Three Way Matching)

c. Responsible for vendor invoice entry (IR) for posted goods receipts (GR) including the custom duties, inland freight and clearing charges and post to AP module.

d. Generate PPV

e. Reconcile inventory SL and GL balance and prepare journal entries related to inventory.

f. Prepare the consignment schedule and made the necessary entry.

g. Print Reports: Inventory GL, Stock Movement, Inventory Value Report and Slow Moving Report

h. Keeps and maintain records for Inventory related documents and Warehouse RR.

  • Doing Month-end closing various allocation for:

a. Marketing expenses

b. Laboratory expenses

c. Common expenses per SBU

d. WPS Sales Manager per SBU

e. NWPA and NWPB expenses per SBU

f. All technician expenses per SBU

g. Miscellaneous Other Income/Expenses

h. Equity in Earnings of Affiliates

  • Responsible for setting-up new codes in the Chart of Accounts in System 7.
  • Keeps and maintains records of NLS Realty Corporation and in-charge in the preparation of Tax Returns.
  • Performs tasks that may be assigned by my immediate superior from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge in Accpac/System7/SAP preferred
  • Must have knowledge in Financial Statement preparation, cost accounting and Taxation; Computer Literate and can communicate orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting Experience in a Manufacturing company is an advantage
