Job Description:

  • Accurate tracking of inventory levels (beginning inventory, purchases, ending inventory)
  • Implementing inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average).
  • Conducting regular inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Identifying and recording all direct costs associated with production or procurement.
  • Allocating overhead costs to products or services accurately.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all cost transactions
  • Applying the appropriate formula to calculate COGS (e.g., Beginning Inventory + Purchases - Ending Inventory).
  • Ensuring accurate and timely calculation of COGS for financial reporting.
  • Preparing accurate income statements that include the COS/COGS figure.
  • Analyzing COS trends to identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Providing relevant COS information to management for decision-making
  • Reconciling inventory accounts with general ledger balances
  • Verifying that cost of sales calculations are accurate
  • Keeping meticulous records of all transactions that affect the cost of sales.
  • Ensuring that all records are compliant with accounting standards.
  • Doing other accounting related activities as assigned by the immediate head/management team

Job Qualifications:

  • With Bachelor's degree in accountancy or any related course
  • Preferably with at least 6 months experience but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
