Job Summary:

The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. This role will handle end-to-end accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit requirements. The General Accountant will also support payroll and expense monitoring while assisting in various accounting projects to ensure efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and journal entries.
  • Maintain and update financial records and databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, including reconciliations and payment transactions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and review expense and payroll records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations (SSS, BIR, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth) and assist in tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
  • Participate in accounting projects and administrative tasks as needed to improve financial processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in an audit firm is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance standards, and government reporting.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of Oracle or other ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
