Website Designer

We're now looking for a talented Website Designer in the Philippines to join us remotely and help shape exceptional digital experiences.

You'll work closely with our Melbourne-based design and development teams to bring websites to life — from wireframe to final handoff. This role is perfect for a creative thinker who understands the power of visual storytelling and UX, and who takes pride in pixel-perfect delivery. You'll collaborate on a wide range of projects across different sectors, and your work will directly contribute to platforms that make a positive difference in the world.

This role is being recruited by Clarke Point ), a premier Singapore-based agency dedicated to delivering global recruitment and staffing solutions, and is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor.

• You have a strong portfolio that showcases website design work — ideally for agencies, purpose-led brands, or non-profits

• You're fluent in Figma (bonus points for an interest in interactive design to help bring elements to life)

• You understand responsive design and have experience designing for web across desktop, tablet, and mobile

• You're confident working with established design systems, but not afraid to push creative boundaries

• You're a great communicator — able to take feedback, ask smart questions, and work independently

• You care about accessibility, usability, and creating inclusive digital experiences

• Design responsive websites and digital experiences based on user journeys, wireframes, and brand guidelines

• Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and project managers to bring creative ideas to life

• Prepare design assets for development handover using tools like Figma

• Participate in design reviews and provide thoughtful feedback to continuously raise the bar

• Stay up to date with design trends and accessibility standards

• Maintain consistent brand execution across all screens and devices

• Experience working as an Independent Contractor for an Australian, American or similar client

• At least 3 years of experience designing websites or digital platforms

• A strong portfolio showcasing responsive website design

• Proficiency in Figma for designing and preparing developer handovers

• Solid understanding of UX principles and how they apply to web design

• Excellent attention to detail and consistency in layout, typography, and branding

• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively with a distributed team

• A reliable internet connection and your own computer setup

• Experience working with Australian or international clients

• Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) standards

• Exposure to basic HTML/CSS (for better handoff understanding)

• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator)

• Comfort working within design systems and component libraries

• Previous agency or client-facing experience

• A background in designing for purpose-driven organisations (NGOs, government, education, etc.

This role is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor with the following additional perks:

• Philippine Regular Holidays: 100% pay if not worked; 200% pay if worked.

• Philippine Special Non-Working Holidays: Additional 30% pay if worked.

• Vacation Leave: 12 days per year, granted upon successful completion of the probation period.

• Sick Leave: 6 days per year, available annually.

• Health Insurance Allowance: ₱2,500 per month provided toward family health insurance after the probation period.

• Flexible Work Environment: Fully remote, Monday to Friday, aligned with Australian business hours.

Butterfly is based in Melbourne, Australia, thus the work hours will follow Melbourne time (GMT +10) with some flexibility.
