While SEO knowledge is a plus, our primary focus is on building exceptional websites using WordPress.


Role Overview

We're seeking a talented WordPress Designer who is passionate about web design and experienced in developing clean, user-focused websites. You'll be responsible for designing and building custom WordPress themes, customizing existing templates, and ensuring each site is mobile-friendly and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom WordPress themes and templates based on project requirements.
  • Customize existing themes to align with brand and design specifications.
  • Build responsive, mobile-first websites that perform well across all devices and browsers.
  • Ensure websites are well-structured, fast-loading, and easy to navigate.
  • Collaborate with content creators and developers to bring designs to life.
  • (Nice to have) Apply basic on-page SEO techniques, such as proper heading structure, metadata, and image optimization.
  • (Nice to have) Use tools like Google Analytics or Yoast SEO to support content visibility and tracking.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and developing WordPress websites (portfolio required).
  • Strong understanding of WordPress, including theme customization and plugin management.
  • Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Strong design sensibility with an eye for clean, modern aesthetics and UI/UX best practices.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects.
  • Fluent in English, with clear written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with basic SEO practices and tools (e.g., Yoast, Google Search Console).
  • Experience with WooCommerce or e-commerce design.
  • Understanding of performance optimization (e.g., caching, image compression).
  • Knowledge of website accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience with website redesigns and migrations on WordPress.
