Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEPFS QA/QC Engineer to oversee the quality assurance and quality control of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Safety (MEPFS) systems in our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all MEPFS installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for MEPFS works in line with project standards.
  • Ensure all MEPFS systems and components are installed according to approved design, plans, and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
  • Monitor and review the performance of subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Inspection & Testing:

  • Oversee and coordinate inspections and testing for MEPFS systems.
  • Ensure all MEPFS installations undergo proper testing and commissioning before handover.
  • Prepare and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for MEPFS activities.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and certifications.
  • Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection forms, and progress updates.
  • Ensure all necessary documents (such as as-built drawings, test results, and manuals) are available for the final handover.

Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the project team, consultants, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Liaise with design engineers to address any discrepancies between design and construction.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and safety requirements.

Non-Conformance Management:

  • Identify and document non-conforming work and materials.
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective measures and ensure closure of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential quality risks during the construction phase and propose mitigation measures.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits, certifications, and quality control activities are in place before project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or any related field.
  • At least 3-5years of experience in construction as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control related field, preferably in MEPFS works.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Implementation is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-rise building construction and complex infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with construction QA/QC management software (e.g., Aconex, BIM 360, Procore).
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Experience with testing and commissioning of MEPFS systems.
