Job Summary:

Looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant / Senior Finance Officer to manage the organization's financial operations and ensure full compliance with Philippine tax regulations. This role encompasses maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing and filing tax returns in collaboration with the partnered accounting firm to the BIR and other government agencies, and overseeing core finance functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), budgeting, and cash flow forecasting. The successful candidate will support strategic financial planning, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Monitor cash flow including the Petty Cash reporting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Oversee the full cycle of AP and AR processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Monitor Distributor payment collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Overseeing the Employee Payroll Disbursement as aligned with Labor Law Regulations.

2. Taxation & Compliance

  • Oversee and assist in preparation of quarterly, and annual tax returns including:
  • VAT (Value-Added Tax)
  • Income Tax (Annual ITR - BIR Form 1701/1702)
  • Other applicable taxes (e.g., EWT, Percentage Tax, DST, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with BIR regulations and keep updated on the latest tax rulings and guidelines.
  • Handle BIR audits and respond to Letters of Authority (LOA) or tax assessments.

3. Audit & Reporting

  • Maintain organized and complete accounting records for audit trail.

4. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting tools.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting software or upgrades.

5. Team Leadership & Support

  • Supervise and mentor finance officers.
  • Provide training and guidance on financial policies and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
  • CPA license is preferred but not mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with strong background in Philippine Taxation.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with BIR systems (eFPS, eBIRForms, eTIS, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling BIR audits.
  • Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of local tax incentives and compliance laws.

Working Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: Work From Home (WFH)
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php40, Php100,000.00 per month
