Tax Specialist & General Ledger Accountant CPA

This role requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to manage both general ledger operations and essential tax compliance functions.

General Ledger & Financial Management

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and update general ledger accounts, record journal entries, and perform monthly reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts.
  • Closing & Reporting: Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, and contribute to internal and external financial reporting.
  • Audit & Compliance: Provide critical support during internal and external audits, ensuring strict compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes.

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Tax Remittance & Filing: Ensure the timely and correct preparation and filing of all monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR remittance and reports for all applicable tax types.
  • WHT & VAT Management: Audit and manage Expanded Withholding Tax Certifications from suppliers/distributors and summarize Input/Output VAT and purchase data.
  • Regulatory Support: Assist the accounting firm with Income Tax Return (ITR) preparation, update the company's business permit, and assist the Finance Director with urgent or emergency tax matters.
  • Other Duties: Handle other tax- or finance-related assignments as directed by the Finance Director.

Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of solid, combined experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting and Philippine Taxation.
