About the role

As a Purchaser at Philippine Spring Water Resources, Inc.', you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, supplies, and services for our manufacturing operations in Iloilo City, Iloilo. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to support the company's production targets and strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Researching and evaluating potential suppliers to identify the most suitable options based on factors such as price, quality, delivery times, and reliability
  2. Negotiating contracts and purchase agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions
  3. Placing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and managing inventory levels to maintain optimum stock levels
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand production needs and requirements
  5. Monitoring market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  6. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all purchasing activities
  7. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in any 4-year course
  2. With or without experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the manufacturing or logistics industries
  3. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  4. Proficient in using procurement software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes
  7. Familiarity with local and international trade regulations and supply chain best practices
