Air and Sea Freight Business Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Research & Analysis

  2. Collect and analyze air and ocean freight market trends in the Philippines, including rate movements, capacity supply and demand, key trade lanes, competitor activities, and regulatory updates.

  3. Monitor airlines, shipping lines, and their pricing, capacity, and service strategies, and prepare regular market reports.

  4. Rate & Product Management

  5. Support the company's pricing strategy for air and ocean freight by providing market benchmark rate insights.

  6. Collaborate with headquarters/regional teams to develop local procurement and rate negotiation strategies.

  7. Business Support

  8. Provide market intelligence and rate references to the sales team to support customer quotations and tenders.

  9. Participate in the design of logistics solutions for key customer projects to enhance competitiveness.

  10. Supplier & Relationship Management

  11. Build and maintain strong partnerships with airlines, shipping lines, ground handlers, port and terminal operators, and other key service providers.

  12. Assist in negotiating freight rates and securing space allocations to ensure service reliability and cost competitiveness.

  13. Internal Collaboration & Reporting

  14. Provide regular market updates and business recommendations to management.

  15. Work closely with operations, sales, and finance teams to optimize resource utilization and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese or Filipino (Tagalog) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, airlines, shipping lines, or logistics companies.
  • Solid understanding of air and ocean freight operations, pricing structures, port/airport resources, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong analytical and market research skills, with the ability to independently produce market reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php35,000.00 per month
