Procurement & Tender Specialist

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

For this role, you must know in and outs of procurement of rates specific for Airfreight. You must also prepare competitive, top-quality proposals in response to strategic key accounts.

PROCUREMENT:

AIR Procurement (International movement)

• Negotiate and maintain logistics contract on Air procurement.
• Work with regional middle office procurement and business partners to develop and execute global strategies.
• Ensure that the procurement process is efficient, cost-effective and follows the appropriate policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with Airlines while meeting desired service specifications and targets.

CES | Customer Expert Solution (AIR)

• As part of the procurement process, Provide booking instructions for operations according to customer constraints and Air Solutions strategy.
• Optimize profitability: control of bookings through a cockpit, repurchase when opportunities are identified.
• Provide support and expertise to FO and Air operations when needed (e.g. specific quotation requirement, …)
• Strictly follow supplier allocation
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve service experience and make recommendations to management.
• Ability to optimize and dispatch orders in timely manner.

GLOBAL TENDER DESK:

• Prepare competitive, top-quality proposals in response to RFQ/RFI/RFP received from Bollore Corporate Key Accounts, strategic key accounts and key identified small and medium accounts enabling business wins.
• Deliver compliant and professionally produced proposals within the deadline and quality parameters, following the established tender management guidelines.
• Develop competitive proposals for Corporate and strategic Key Accounts, as well as identified Local and Regional Key Accounts
• Ensure timely, accurate and quality responses are delivered to the requesting parties.
• Support to maintain and update tender and pricing database of current transportation rates for benchmarking and baselining.
• Interface with other functional groups such as Procurement, IT, Legal, QHSE, Key Account Management, Industry Verticals and Trade Lane Development, as well as customers in creating/delivering competitive and quality proposals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the internal tender process and tools.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Must possess any Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Engineering, or Logistics & Transportation disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Transportation / Logistics industry
• Minimum of 4 years experience in Freight Tender or Pricing Management functions
• Advance exposure and ability in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge in other productivity and automation tools is a plus.
• Functional experience in air / sea / supply chain management / information technology / customs brokerage
• Pricing and market knowledge of Asia Pacific region. Global market knowledge is a plus
• Ability to interpret company's strategy and transfer into proposals and bids and uncover new opportunities
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret and present tender documents, requirements, pricing and other details
• Independent Team Player and able to work under pressure
• High sense of collaboration and ability to articulate objectives across multiple stakeholders
• Results driven, customer-oriented and meticulous
• Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, multi-task, assign, follow and control)
• Outstanding oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills across diverse cultures and different organizational levels
