Job Description:

Quantity Surveyor & Site Engineer

A Quantity Surveyor / Site Engineer is responsible for a variety of tasks, from evaluating project costs and preparing tender documents to managing on-site activities and coordinating with the project team. This role requires a strong understanding of both the financial and practical aspects of construction, particularly in the MEPFS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & Sanitary) trades.

Responsibilities


• Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on tender drawings and specifications, covering all aspects of the project.


• Conduct precise measurements for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, and fire protection systems.


• Review draft tender documents to ensure all project systems and components are included.


• Coordinate with the project team throughout all construction phases, from start to completion.


• Maintain an up-to-date record of current market prices for various construction trades.


• Communicate with consultants and authorities to clarify any discrepancies in specifications or BOQ.


• Prepare tender pre-qualification items, including a list of subcontractors, suppliers, and a cash flow chart.


• Coordinate with the planning, procurement, finance, and administration teams to gather necessary documents for submission.


• Provide support with contract documentation and other related tasks as required by the QS Manager.

Qualifications


• Civil Engineering as a preferred degree.


• Possession of a Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam) is required.


• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on quantity surveying and site management techniques.


• Knowledge of construction methodologies, building systems, and commercial fit-outs.


• Familiarity with MEPFS works, design standards, and codes.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and PlanSwift.


• Strong attention to detail, excellent presentation, and negotiation skills.


• Full-time position available; must be able to start as soon as possible.
