The Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing claims management, assessing Notices to Proceed (NTP), and evaluating and validating Change Orders (QS-CO). This role will require the preparation of accurate cost estimates and evaluations for anticipated Change Orders and Value Engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail to help guide effective project cost management and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complete and accurate cost estimates and evaluations for Change Orders, ensuring all required components and supporting documents are secured.
  • Ensure the timely submission of cost estimates and Change Order evaluations (QS-CO) along with all necessary documentation.
  • Provide fair, reliable, and comprehensive estimates and evaluations of Change Orders in alignment with standard measurement procedures and established unit costs.
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of Notices to Proceed (NTP) as endorsed by the Construction Manager, ensuring they align with project requirements.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned to support departmental and project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Civil Engineer.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying/estimating or 5 years in engineering or construction-related works.
  • Knowledge of quantity surveying functions, including contract administration, quantity takeoff, cost estimates, cost analysis, claims and dispute settlement (basic), procurement management (basic), and construction management (basic).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Planswift, and other measurement applications.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, plan reading, measurement, and cost build-up.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
