Finance Advice Expert

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled
Business Analyst
with expertise in
statutory and regulatory reporting, data modelling, and financial services
. The role will support a global finance organization by analyzing complex business requirements, designing processes, and translating them into functional and IT solutions. This individual will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local and central regulatory requirements while driving efficiency and standardization in reporting solutions.

The Business Analyst will work as part of a
multidisciplinary squad
in an agile environment, collaborating closely with finance, operations, IT, risk, and compliance stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Design

• Analyze complex finance and regulatory reporting issues that span multiple domains, ensuring end-to-end solutions.
• Conduct
  requirements gathering and analysis
  , ensuring completeness, quality, and consistency of business requirements.
• Develop
  functional designs, process flows, and solution alternatives
  aligned with stakeholder needs.
• Support decision-making by presenting solution designs and their impacts in a clear and structured manner.
• Translate
  business requirements and non-functional requirements
  into IT solution requirements in close collaboration with architects and IT specialists.

Types of Analysis

• Requirements Analysis:
  Gather, validate, and prioritize requirements; translate epics into features and user stories.
• Process Analysis:
  Assess current processes, identify pain points and root causes, and design optimized processes.
• Information/Data Analysis:
  Evaluate input, output, and data adjustments in processes; assess data quality and recommend improvements.
• Risk Analysis:
  Translate compliance, operational risk, and legal policies into solution requirements.

Change Delivery

• Support the delivery of solutions through iterative and incremental releases (Agile/Lean).
• Collaborate with squads to refine roadmaps, minimum viable products (MVPs), and partial deliveries.
• Define and support
  acceptance criteria, scenarios, and use cases
  for solution validation and verification.
• Support the development of training materials and work instructions for end-users.

Knowledge Sharing & Best Practices

• Introduce industry best practices, tools, and methodologies into projects.
• Capture lessons learned, ensuring knowledge reuse across teams.
• Actively contribute to the development and maturity of business analysis practices within the organization.

• Strong
  business analysis expertise
  with proven ability to translate business requirements into functional and IT solutions.
• Solid understanding of
  statutory and regulatory reporting processes
  in financial services.
• Ability to work with
  data models, domain models, and logical data models
  to support reporting solutions.
• Strong
  analytical and problem-solving skills
  , using modern methods and tools (BABOK framework experience is a plus).
• Excellent
  stakeholder management and communication skills
  ; able to bridge gaps between business and IT.
• Experience working in
  Agile/Lean environments
  , including backlog management and epics-to-user story breakdowns.
• Knowledge of
  finance, accounting, risk, compliance, and process management
  .
• Strong organizational sensitivity and ability to balance stakeholder priorities.
• Collaborative team player with ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
• Flexible, adaptable, and eager to continuously improve ways of working.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in
  Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field
  .
• Minimum
  5+ years' experience
  as a Business Analyst within finance, banking, or regulatory environments.
• Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with
  regulatory/statutory reporting requirements
  .
• Proficiency in
  business analysis techniques, impact assessments, feasibility studies, and business cases
  .
• Strong knowledge of
  financial data modelling
  and reporting frameworks.
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Demonstrated ability to work in
  cross-functional, multicultural teams
  .
