About the Role

I am seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Research Assistant to support a variety of research and analysis tasks across markets, industries, companies, and financial news. This is a remote, flexible freelance role designed for someone who is strong at digging up reliable information, verifying the data, and presenting them in clear, structured formats.

Some projects include:

1) Market / Industry Research (USA/ Worldwide):

  • Conduct market research and prepare TAM analyses for industries and market segments.

  • Identify growth drivers, risks, and emerging trends.

  • Prepare concise summaries supported by data and references.

2) Company Research (USA/ Philippines/ Worldwide):

  • Gather and analyze company profiles, business models, competitors, and financial performance.

  • Monitor and summarize company press releases and quarterly earnings.

  • Track stock performance, analyst commentary, and industry benchmarks.

3) Software / Technical Research (USA/ Worldwide):

  • Research features and functionality of specific software products.

  • Compare competing solutions and summarize differentiating factors.

4) Financial & Stock Market Research (USA & Philippines):

  • Summarize key financial metrics, valuation multiples, and earnings call highlights.

  • Track relevant industry and equity market developments.

Requirements & Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy and precision are critical in this role, with a commitment to delivering work that is thorough, carefully verified, and free of errors.

Knows how to verify information accuracy and cite reliable sources when needed. Comfortable using Google, online research and AI to find credible information.

Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with business and finance terminology (e.g., TAM, EBITDA, valuation multiples).

Basic writing and summarization skills. Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.

Work Style & Logistics & Comp:

Part-time remote / freelance position approximately 4-5 hours per day. Overtime if applicable will be paid. Can transition to full-time depending on amount of work we have.

Workload may vary depending on projects, but typically includes multiple short research tasks daily. DAYSHIFT – from 1pm to 5pm/6pm

Compensation is Php 10K – Php15K monthly. With the upper end for the right person. Can go even beyond that depending on the value created. Students are welcome to apply so are people who want/ need a side gig as long as you meet requirements/ skills.
