About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Invoicing Clerk to support our Australian clients and customers. You'll be responsible for preparing and issuing invoices accurately, maintaining records, and assisting with billing queries. The role works closely with our Sales, Operations, and Finance teams, so strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice Creation & Data Entry

  • Prepare and generate invoices based on client requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure all invoices are issued accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Enter and update data in the company's invoicing system.
  • Verify customer information and maintain accurate records.
  • Update notes and invoice status in the system as needed.

Team Communication

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and billing discrepancies.
  • Provide clear and timely explanations of invoice details and charges.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues efficiently.

Administration

  • Maintain and manage workflow within the invoicing system.
  • Support the Sales and Operations teams by providing accurate billing information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of bookkeeping or invoicing experience, preferably with Australian businesses.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, able to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite or ConnectWise is an advantage.
