About the role

Join the team at iMart Grocers PH as a Category Buyer. In this full-time role based in Quezon City Metro Manila, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the product assortment and driving the commercial success of your designated categories within the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Analyze sales data, market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for category growth and optimisation
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best commercial deals for the business
  • Manage the end-to-end buying lifecycle, from forecasting and ordering to stock management and promotional planning
  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandising and operations teams to implement effective category strategies
  • Monitor category performance and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations to drive profitability
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers and stay up-to-date with industry developments

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Buyer or Category Manager within the retail or FMCG sector
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms
  • Excellent data analysis and decision-making skills to identify opportunities and drive category performance
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for the retail industry and commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience
